Swapping stuffiness for selfies


The Ritz London, being one of the most famous hotels in the world is by nature a bastion of tradition. But this has a downside - how do they shake-off the stuffy image when appealing to young potential employees?

Tasked with this brief we believed the answer was simply to put the camera in the hands of the staff. By creating a selfie-style video we let the housekeepers, maids and managers lead the viewer around the back staircases of the hotel, even showing the canteen and giving a whole new meaning to 'Tea at The Ritz'.

The key message the hotel wanted to get across was that they worked together like a family. The resulting video was very well received internally and crucially by the target millennial market.
